Basic pottery course: Experience

Treat yourself to an immersive experience

Programme

The Carlo Zauli Museum is dedicating a series of events to an experience of total immersion in the world of ceramics. It involves the use of clay through the experimentation of a specific technique used to create a personal ceramic artefact.
The course is designed for groups of people or tourists who, in just a few hours, want to experience what it is like to work with their hands and clay, understand what pottery is and experience the emotions generated by this all-embracing experience.

4-hour lecture and ceramic workshop:

for groups of 8 to 15 persons 80€ per person
for groups of 16 to 25 persons: 50€ per person
Personal (1 to 7 persons): 400€ per group

Alternatively, it is possible to establish an even shorter experience according to the needs of the group, agreeing with the operator on appropriate time and costs.

The courses will be held in the historical workshops of the Carlo Zauli Museum.

The date and time is set according to the needs of the group in order to fit in with tour days or educational programmes. The course does not include the firing of the object. Should participants wish to possess the artefacts they have made, it is possible to have them fired and shipped subject to reimbursement of the respective costs.

Museo Carlo Zauli
In the historical spaces of the Carlo Zauli Museum, located in Faenza, a city with a millennial ceramic history, 30 minutes from the wonderful Byzantine ruins of Ravenna, from Bologna, from the sea and 2 hours from Florence, Monica Zauli, daughter of art, architect and artist, will introduce participants to the 'paradise' of ceramics, telling about the child who observed her father's work and what she learnt from him about materials, tools and techniques. Monica will follow the work with clay through to firing, giving advice, offering alternatives and reminding us of the rules of Art when necessary.
