CARLO ZAULI COLLECTION

The collection dedicated to the Faenza sculptor unfolds in an anthological exhibition itinerary divided into sections that highlight the Faenza artist's aptitude for experimentation and a continuous reinterpretation of his expressive language: from the more essentially 'ceramicist' Zauli of the early 1950s, with his archaic and primitivist style object works, to the latest sculptural research of the late 1980s.

This itinerary is divided into a series of exhibition rooms, but also includes the inner garden, the old workshops, left in their original state and still used as workplaces, and the cellars used as storerooms for the land.

There is also a room dedicated to the industrial design of tiles, in a set-up in collaboration with La Faenza, of which Zauli was artistic director and designer.

Zauli's sculpture is visceral. You feel it from within. At such a level that one feels the need to trust the artist and surrender to him.
