CARLO ZAULI MUSEUM A PROTAGONIST OF ARTE FIERA WEEKEND
During the Arte Fiera weekend, Bologna is the international epicentre of contemporary art. Beyond the presence of the Fair, in a city dotted with numerous prized initiatives of international importance, our museum is the protagonist of two very prestigious events.
In the institutional exhibition Courtesy Emilia-Romagna, curated by historian and art critic Eva Brioschi and representing the very fulcrum of design at Arte Fiera, Carlo Zauli Museum presence can be seen across four different works: “Primario lavico (Dado esploso)” by Carlo Zauli, a powerful work from 1985 that feeds off the typical Zaulian dialectic between geometric structure and naturalistic explosion, and the sculptural trilogy “The surface’s flowing” by English artist Daniel Silver, created in 2012 during a residence curated by Marco Tagliafierro.
At MAMbo, the main project of Art City 2020, one can also find the installation “Ossi” by Claudia Losi, a monumental piece created in Montelupo Fiorentino by the Tuscany Art Manufactory and produced by the Montelupo Museum of Ceramics Foundation in conjunction with the municipality of Scandicci.
